Kirby creates mainly privately commissioned works for collectors in New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Palm Springs and Texas. In 2010 he exhibited a work entitled, 4toes for Art Project Los Angeles at Bonhams & Butterfields. He recently installed bienvenu, his first public commission in Los Angeles.

His workspace/exhibition space is a townhouse in the West Hollywood section of Los Angeles where he paints on the roof during moonlit nights.
